If there is a picture in the story, you will see a glimpse of it, but if there is a video, you will neither be able to see it nor hear it.
To do this, you have to open Instagram and open the story of the account whose story you want to see (other account) before that. Now hold the finger on the screen and half swipe towards the other account (user whose stories you want to see). Keep in mind, you have to hold the finger and go only till half the screen. Method 3: Third Party Website
There are currently many websites on the Internet that can show you the stories of users who have public accounts. This is not a good way from an ethical and privacy point of view, but if you still want to see someone's story, you can search on Google using words like 'Watch Instagram Stories Anonymously' and search for that person's Instagram profile on the website that appears on top or search for it by the URL of the profile. From here you can watch their stories without the person knowing. Keep in mind, this is not a good way from an ethical and privacy point of view and we do not recommend you to do this.
