The company also wants to open a food processing unit in Noida. 500 crore will be invested on this. The company has invested Rs 2000 crore in Lucknow Mall. Also, Lulu Group is going to invest Rs 19,000 crore to increase its presence in India.
According to Shibu Phillips, director (shopping malls) at Lulu Group India, the company is planning to open 12 malls in India in the next three years. The group has so far built five shopping malls in India with an investment of Rs 7,000 crore. Lulu Group has five malls in Kochi, Trivandrum, Thrissur, Bengaluru and Lucknow. The company is planning to open four more malls or hypermarkets in Uttar Pradesh. Philips says that Uttar Pradesh is very important for the company. The company is looking for land in Varanasi and Prayagraj. After this the company's focus will be on Kanpur.
