Consumption of dates does not have to be during Ramadan
Dates are known to have many health benefits, such as the content of antioxidants in it that can protect the body's cells from free radicals, in addition to copper, selenium, magnesium, vitamin K, C, and D.
But unfortunately, most of Indonesian people consume dates only during Ramadan and not as a daily snack.
Based on a survey of Indonesian Middle Eastern MSMEs in July 2021, of a total of 1300 respondents, 47.7 percent of them stated that they only consumed dates during Ramadan, 24.8 percent admitted to the last week, and the rest last month or last year.
In fact, according to the Founder of the Middle East Indonesia Agung Prasetyo in a press statement quoted on Friday, dates contain high antioxidants that can protect body cells from free radicals.
Dates are also high in fiber for digestive health. This fruit is also rich in copper, selenium, magnesium, and vitamin K which are good for bone metabolism. Then, the content of vitamins C and D in it is also very good for skin health and nutrition.
There are various types of dates, ranging from ajwa dates which are the favorite dates of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, there are safawi dates, Egyptian dates, sukkari, madjool, and many more.
The Indonesian market for dates is also very large, considering that this region is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world.
Therefore, said Agung, Middle East Indonesia exists as an MSME that offers various types of dates, including khalas, rhutob, to Tunisian, as well as other products including nuts (such as almonds, cashews, pistachios, and walnuts).
Middle East Indonesia also provides Yemeni honey, zam zam water, Himalayan salt, and various raisins.
Not only products made from basic ingredients, Middle East Indonesia also presents processed products such as granola, almond & cashew chocodust, coconut honey, vanilla honey which bring many health benefits.
