Method 1: Airplane Mode
This is the easiest way. Open the Instagram app. Swipe down from the top of your phone's screen to reveal the shortcut panel and turn on Airplane Mode from there. Swipe up to return to the Instagram screen and you can view that person's Stories. Once you're done, close the app and turn Airplane Mode back off. This will prevent the user of that account from seeing your name in the 'Seen' section of their Stories.
Method 2: Half-Swipe
If you half-swipe a story, your name won't appear in Seen. This way, you won't be able to view the entire story, but you can still peek inside. If the story contains a photo, you'll see a preview, but if it contains a video, you won't be able to see or hear it.
To do this, open Instagram and open the story of the account you want to view (the other account) before the one you want to view. Now, hold down your finger on the screen and half-swipe towards the other account (the user whose stories you want to view). Keep in mind that you need to hold down your finger and only go halfway up the screen. This will show the story. After this, return to the previous account and lift your finger from the screen.
