You don't need to travel anywhere; you can easily change your passport address from the comfort of your home. However, you will then need to visit your nearest Passport Seva Kendra. Let's explore the process of changing your passport address in detail.
How to change address in passport:
1. First of all you have to go to the Passport Seva Portal and click on the New User Registration link.
2. Then you have to enter your details and select your nearest passport office.
3. After that enter the captcha and click on the register button.
4. You can log in to the Passport Seva Portal with your registered login ID.
5. After this, select Apply for New Passport/Passport Reissue option from the application home page.
6. Then to fill the online application form, select the second option from the list of Click Here options.
7. Then you have to enter the information like type of application and type of passport booklet.
8. After that click on the Next button.
9. Now you have to select the View Saved/Submitted Application option.
10. Then click on Pay and Schedule Appointment link to pay the reissue fee and schedule your appointment.
11. You must select online payment. This method can be used to make payments through internet banking, credit, or debit cards. If the online payment option is not available to you, you can also use the invoice payment option.
12. Then click on the Next button.
13. Select your PSK location and print the application receipt.
After receiving the receipt, go to your nearest Passport Seva Kendra or Regional Passport Office where you have booked an appointment. Bring your application receipt, the message you received on your phone, and your required documents. Your passport address change process will be completed there.
