Saudi Arabia : The discovery of an archaeological site and inscriptions of the pre-Islamic period in Al-Qassim  The Saudi Heritage Authority announced the discovery of Dadani inscriptions and the monitoring of a new archaeological site in Al-Qassim, in the center of the Arabian Peninsula, as the discovery reflects the cultural and commercial communication between the ancient Arab kingdoms of the pre-Islamic period.  The Saudi Heritage Authority announced on Saturday the discovery of Dadani inscriptions and the monitoring of a new archaeological site in Qassim, as part of its efforts to document and discover antiquities and national heritage in various regions of the Kingdom.  It mentioned "the discovery and documentation of the first two inscriptions in the Qassim region written in the Dadani script, in addition to the monitoring of a new archaeological site."  She explained that they are "two memorial inscriptions, one of which is written in the early Dadani script and the other in the late Dadani script, and they are located" on the facade of two rocks in an archaeological site in Al-Qassim called the Dulaimiyya site.  Their discovery indicates the road connecting the kingdoms of Dadan and Lihyan in northwest Arabia, and the kingdom of Kinda in Al-Faw in central Arabia.  Their discovery reflects the cultural and commercial communication between the ancient Arab kingdoms of the pre-Islamic period in the lands of the Kingdom.  She added, "The site is a small sandy mountain called Dulaimiyya 3, and a short Thamudic inscription was found in one of its rocks from the southeastern side."
