" So 'Japan will disappear': PM Fumio Kishida's aide warns of a sharp drop in birth rate

" So 'Japan will disappear': PM Fumio Kishida's aide warns of a sharp drop in birth rate Japan's population has fallen from its peak of 2008 million (128 million, 12 million) in 80 to 124.6 million (12 million). If Japan does not stop the decline in birth, then its existence may end. An adviser to the country's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has expressed this apprehension. Due to the decline in birth, there is a possibility of adverse impact on social security and the economy. "If we continue like this, the country will 'disappear'," Masako Mori told an interview in Tokyo after Japan declared it hit a record low last year on February 28. Last year, almost twice as many people died as those born in Japan, Bloomberg reported. Less than 8 lakh infants were born in the country while about 1.58 million (15 lakh 80 thousand) people died. A very worried PM Kishida pledged to double the expenditure on children and families to control the falling birth mother. Significantly, Japan's population has fallen from its peak level of 2008 million (128 crore, 12 lakh) in the year 80 to 124.6 million (12 crore, 40 lakh). What is worrying is that the pace of this decline is increasing. Meanwhile, the proportion of people aged 65 or older increased to more than 29% last year. Although the fertility rate in South Korea is low, the population in Japan is declining rapidly. "It (birth rate) is not falling slowly, but it is going downhill rapidly," said Mori, an MP and former minister in the Upper House. He warned that if nothing is done, the social security system will collapse. He said that due to the decline in the number of women of childbearing age, it will now be very difficult to reverse this 'situation', the government should do everything to slow this decline in the birth day and help reduce the losses.
