According to Baloch social media platforms and Telegram channels, Iran's Revolutionary Guard Force (IRGC) killed several donkeys in the border areas of Sarawan area of Iranian Balochistan on February 14, the video of which has gone viral on social media.
The incident took place on February 14, when Iranian Revolutionary Guards personnel opened fire in the border area and killed donkeys, which are said to be in the hundreds.
A Telegram channel called 'Baloch Campaign' and a channel named 'Rasank' also quoted the news as saying that the incident took place in kaligan area of Shahr Gulshan area of Iranian Balochistan.
Another video has also surfaced on the 'Baloch Campaign' channel, in which it can be seen that two people are running in the mountainous area, a large number of donkeys are also standing near them, while the forces personnel are chasing them and during this time they are also firing.
These donkeys were the livelihood of the Baloch population, who were shot dead by Iranian forces on charges of fuel smuggling, telegram channel reported.
According to the Baloch Campaign, according to Article 7 of the Animal Protection Act in Iran, any unnecessary action and any decision that leads to the death of animals is considered a crime against their lives.
Tensions escalated in Iranian Balochistan after the death of 22-year-old Mahisa Amini in September last year and protests continued for several days in some areas, while many Baloch were also killed in firing by Iranian forces.
However, it could not be confirmed in which area the killing took place along the Pakistani border.
Petrol and diesel from Iran are smuggled into Pakistan through Iranian Balochistan and smugglers transport oil to the border in different ways.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Human Rights Organization also wrote in a tweet on its Twitter account: "IRGC forces killed hundreds of donkeys in Iranian territory bordering Pakistan last week. According to the Baloch campaign, he was killed on suspicion of fuel smuggling.
