WhatsApp warns users that they can be banned if they break 5 rules

WhatsApp is one of the most popular communication applications in the world with more than two billion users, but these users must abide by 5 rules set by WhatsApp recently, or they will be banned, as published by The Sun newspaper.

While things like scams are an obvious way to ban a user on WhatsApp, there are some rules that you may break and you don't know the consequence of is to ban your account on the app.

Report your frequent inconvenience to users

Nobody likes to be bothered, especially on WhatsApp, did you know that if a lot of people reported you, it could get you removed from the app completely.

One way to get others to report you is to use the post lists feature, and contacting people you don't know is another way to get banned on WhatsApp.

So it is better to be respectful of others and not to bother them with repetitive messages, as this will attract the attention of the application management.

Impersonate a person

You are not allowed to impersonate someone, even if that person is close to you, if it is detected that you created a fake account using someone else's photos, your number will be blocked.

Third Party Applications

WhatsApp only wants its customers to use the official app, so if you use a third party, like WhatsApp Plus, your account will be banned.

Auto or bulk messages

Automated and bulk messages are usually a warning sign that someone is trying to scam.

So even if you're doing this unintentionally, you'd better not do it, because WhatsApp uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology as well as reports from other users to detect and block accounts that send automated spam messages.

Not using the app enough

Your WhatsApp account may be temporarily disabled or deleted if you are not using it.

The platform does not mention how long your account will remain suspended.

The official rules on the platform say, "We may disable or delete your account if it does not become active after registering the account or if it remains inactive for an extended period of time."
