SSC CGL Exam 2025: On the first day of the much-awaited SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), candidates faced significant inconvenience due to technical and administrative glitches at exam centers in several states. What were the reasons for the cancellation of SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 exam?
SSC has clarified in its official notice that there were mainly two reasons behind the cancellation of exams in major cities like Delhi, Gurugram, Kolkata, Bokaro and Jammu:
First Technical Issue – Being a Computer Based Examination (CBE), technical issues were reported at some centres. These included system crashes, connectivity issues and software related problems.
Another administrative reason: Inadequate arrangements or other administrative reasons at some schools and exam centers made it impossible to conduct the exam. This also reflects negligence on the part of center management.
Affected exam centres and new exam dates
In such a situation, candidates need to know at which centres the examination has been cancelled and what are their new dates-
Bokaro: The first shift exam at Tissa Technology, Steel City, Jharkhand – 827013 has been cancelled. The new date for this exam will be announced soon on the official SSC website.
Gurugram: The exam at MM Public School has been cancelled due to administrative reasons. The exam for this center will now be held on September 24, 25, and 26, 2025.
Kolkata: All shifts of the exam scheduled for September 12th at Mind Matrix, Kalaberia, near the Bishnupur Bazar bus stop, have been cancelled. The new exam date will be announced soon.
Jammu: The first shift at the Digital Computer Education Centre has been cancelled due to technical reasons. The examination for all candidates scheduled at this centre will now be held on September 26, 2025.

Candidates whose exam has been affected should keep checking the official website of SSC (ssc.nic.in) regularly to get immediate updates regarding new dates, admit cards and other important instructions.
Please note that new admit cards will be issued for the cancelled exams. Candidates are advised to download their new admit cards and follow the instructions provided in them.
At the same time, continue your preparations according to the new dates. Also, ignore any rumors or misinformation circulating on social media or other unauthorized sources. Only consider the official notice issued by the SSC to be reliable.
