Reliance Jio is no longer just an internet provider; the company has further strengthened its business broadband plans by adding JioAICloud Enterprise storage. This new integration will provide enterprise customers with high-speed internet, secure cloud storage, and communication services all in one package. Its goal is to allow small and medium businesses to store, sync, and manage their data from a single platform.
Jio has updated two of its business broadband plans - Rs 801 and Rs 1,001 - with JioAICloud Enterprise. The Rs 801 plan offers users internet speeds of up to 100Mbps, 39,600GB of annual high-speed data, unlimited voice calling, and 100GB of cloud storage. The Rs 1,001 plan offers speeds of up to 200Mbps, the same data limit, and 200GB of JioAICloud storage. In both plans, the speed drops to 1Mbps after the high-speed limit is exhausted.
This move by Jio could directly benefit small and medium-sized businesses, as they no longer need to purchase separate services for internet and cloud storage. Data management, collaboration, and communication will all be covered in a single package.
It's worth noting that Reliance added several AI features to JioAICloud in August, including search, data categorization, and content creation tools. The service launched in 2024 and offers up to 100GB of free cloud storage to all Jio users.
Meanwhile, Airtel recently launched a six-month free subscription to Google One Cloud for its postpaid and Wi-Fi users, offering 100GB of storage. Jio's move could further accelerate the race for cloud-based digital solutions in the industry.
