The number of subscribers of the company has increased to about 9.1 crore. Last month BSNL added 13 lakh new subscribers. The company will launch 5G service soon." BSNL's 5G service will be called Q-5G, with the Q standing for Quantum. The company has also launched anti-smishing and anti-spam protection to protect users from SMS messages containing fraudulent links.
