What is the Airtel PUK code?
The PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Number. It's a security feature that prevents other users from using your SIM card. If the wrong PIN is entered more than three times, the SIM card becomes locked and can then be unlocked using the PUK code.
How to get Airtel PUK code via SMS?
Airtel customers can get their PUK code via an SMS.
For this you will need an alternate Airtel number which you can get from your family or friend.
Now write down the PUK code printed on the back side of your SIM card.
Now send a message by writing the locked phone number to 785 from the alternate number.
Now write the 15 digit PUK SIM card number and send it to 121.
Airtel will send you an 8-digit PUK code on your alternate number.
Now go to the locked Airtel number and enter this code and your SIM card will be unlocked.
How to Unlock Airtel PUK Code via USSD Code
For this you will have to dial 12151# from any other Airtel number.
When the pop-up appears, click OK.
After a few seconds another pop-up will appear.
Select the PUK option from the menu.
Now enter your Date of Birth (DOB) to verify your identity.
After this, you will see the PUK code on the screen through which you can unlock your SIM card.
How to get Airtel PUK Code from Customer Care
Dial 121 from any other Airtel number.
Inform the customer care representative about the PUK code issue.
The representative will ask you for the necessary details and also ask for the 15-digit SIM number which is printed on the back of the SIM card.
After providing the details, the representative will provide you the PUK code.
How to get your Airtel PUK code from an Airtel store
If you can't retrieve your PUK code using any of the methods above, you can visit your nearest Airtel store. Bring the required documents, such as your Aadhaar card and your locked SIM card, with you. The store team will help you unlock your SIM card. You can also request a new SIM card with a new PUK code.
