At IAA Mobility 2025, Skoda Auto unveiled the Epiq show car, which will be the company's most affordable electric SUV ever.

The Epiq is 4.1 meters in length and falls in the city crossover segment. Despite this, it has seating for five people and a boot space of 475 liters. The company claims that this EV can give a range of up to 425 kilometers on a single charge, which brings it close to larger EVs.

Skoda's "Simply Clever" approach is clearly visible in the interior. The car features details such as bag hooks, hidden storage and underfloor space. The dashboard has a combination of digital and physical controls, including wireless phone charging, haptic scroll wheels and important buttons. Skoda says the design is designed keeping in mind the "mobile first" philosophy, where practicality and daily use are paramount.

The production version of the Epiq will make its world premiere in mid-2026 and will be the cheapest all-electric model in the company's portfolio. Skoda says that this launch will prove to be a big step towards bringing EVs to the mass market.
