Redmi Pad Se 4g supports 4G network

ted gaining momentum since the time of Covid-19. Work from home and online classes increased their demand. Today every major smartphone-PC brand is introducing tabs. With the arrival of Chinese companies, people are getting affordable tabs. The recently launched Redmi Pad Se 4g also bets on the affordable tab category. Its compact style makes the tab a good option for online studies. It supports 4G network, so even those living remotely will be able to do important work with the tab. We have got the 4GB / 128GB model of Redmi Pad Se 4g in 'Urban Gray' color for review. Let's know how it felt in the first one or two days of use in First Impression.

Redmi Pad Se 4g comes in the price category of 10 to 12 thousand rupees. We are judging it as an affordable tab. Redmi Pad Se 4g follows a simple design. There is no attempt to do any 'artistic' work on the back side except for the rounded camera module on the top left and the Redmi branding just below it at the bottom. I like this, because in a tab, productivity is more important than style.

The Redmi Pad Se 4g, which comes in a matte finish, weighs 375 grams. It is not very heavy. My 6-year-old daughter is able to hold and use this tab well. All four corners of the tab are rounded, which makes it easy to carry.

The power button and volume rocker are given on the right side of the tab. Their positioning was comfortable for me and my daughter. The SIM tray is given on the left side, in which two 4G SIMs and a 2TB SD card can be installed. The speaker grills are on both the bottom and top and support Dolby Atmos sound. Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack and a microphone are given at the bottom. There is also an IR Blaster in it, so that the tab can be used as a universal remote.

Talking about the front side, the display of Redmi Pad Se 4g seems a little smaller than its overall size. The display chin also seems thick. However, the front camera is installed in the same space at the top. Overall, it justifies its price in terms of design and look.

Redmi Pad Se 4g has an 8.7-inch LCD display. It offers HD resolution of 1340 X 800 pixels. The display also has a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. Those who want FullHD resolution may find this display less, but it is good for students because it is TUV Rheinland certified. This means that the display generates low blue light on the basis of software, which causes less damage to the eyes. Scratch resistant glass has also been used to protect the display from scratches.

I streamed online videos, read websites and e-papers on this tab for some time. The color-contrast seemed balanced. Since I am using a full HD plus smartphone with AMOLED display, this display seemed pale in comparison to that. But it is good for the price. Especially during online studies, there is hardly any lack in the display.

MediaTek's Helio G85 processor has been installed in Redmi Pad Se 4g. The review unit we got has 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. In the first one or two days, I found its performance to be fine. I downloaded some apps, which were opening fast. 7 to 8 browsers were open in Google Chrome and the tab was performing well. We will talk about its performance in detail in the review.

Redmi Pad Se 4g has an 8MP rear and 5MP front camera. The rear camera can record video in 1080P. I am not expecting photography from this tab, but it should definitely be tested in video call. I will also take some photo samples and share them with you. The speaker sound of the tab will also be discussed then.

Redmi Pad Se 4g has a 6650mAh battery. It supports 10W charging. It would have been better if the battery was 8 thousand mAh, but I have no complaints even with 6650mAh, because it is running for a day in initial use. However, the charger should have been 18W. The battery test of Redmi Pad Se 4g is also pending, the result of which we will tell you in the review.

Talking about other features, it comes with accelerometer, virtual light sensor, virtual proximity sensor, electronic compass, hall sensor. There is support for GPS / AGPS, Beidou, Glonass, Galelio. There is no fingerprint sensor in it, but the facility of face unlock is available.

The company is providing adapter, USB Type-C cable, SIM card eject tool in the box. Redmi has also sent us its cover, which can be purchased separately. We will also talk about this in the review.

I liked the Redmi Pad Se 4g in my first impressions with a starting price of Rs 10,999. The reasons are - decent look, compact feel, overall features and price. The support of 4G network can make it perfect for students and general users in small towns and villages.

In one line, it can be useful as per the price! We will talk about the rest in the review.
