Google has taken a big step to make its search service smarter. The company announced on Tuesday that its AI Mode will now be available in Hindi as well and users around the world will be able to use it. This update is based on Google's Gemini 2.5 model, which is capable of understanding long, complex and detailed questions and giving more personalized answers. This feature was first launched in India for the English language and the company received a very good response. Now it is being rolled out globally in Hindi.
Google wrote in its blogpost , "We recently launched it in India in English and we got great feedback. Now we are very excited to take the next step. From today we are launching it in Hindi for users around the world. " AI Mode is designed in such a way that it can answer even those questions for which usually have to be searched multiple times. It is multimodal, that is, users can ask questions through text, voice or image.
Google's VP of Product Management, Search - Hema Budhraju said, "AI is making search more useful. We are happy that we are now introducing AI Mode in Hindi as well and are waiting to see how people will use it."
He further added that translation alone is not enough. “Making search a great experience for people around the world is not just about translating languages. It requires local knowledge and understanding context. The advanced multimodal and reasoning capabilities of Gemini 2.5 help us understand language even better.”
According to Google, AI Mode can now understand complex questions better. For example, if a user asks – “Which flowers are good for gardening that bloom at night and are fragrant?” – then AI Mode is able to understand such nuances and give custom suggestions.
