New 'Vibes' feed launched for AI-generated short videos, learn details

Meta has launched a new feature, Vibes, within its Meta AI app. This is an AI-generated short video feed where users can create their own videos or remix other videos. It features the ability to personalize videos by changing visuals, music, and styles. These videos can be shared directly from the Vibes feed to Instagram and Facebook.

Technology Desk, New Delhi. Meta on Thursday launched a new feed called Vibes in the Meta AI app, focusing on AI-generated short videos. The feature allows users to create, explore, and share AI-powered clips, whether created from scratch or by remixing a video from the feed. These videos can be shared on the Vibes feed, direct messages, or cross-posted to Instagram and Facebook. The platform also allows users to personalize their creations by adding visuals, music, and styles.

META introduces Vibes

Meta released a version of the Meta AI app on Thursday (September 25th) that introduced an early preview of 'Vibes.' This new feed will be available on the Meta AI app and official website and will allow users to create and share short-form, AI-generated videos.

Meta says that "Vibes is designed to make it easy to find creative inspiration and experiment with Meta AI's media tools." As users scroll through the feed, they'll find AI-generated videos from different creators and communities. The company says that the feed will gradually personalize based on user activity.

Vibes lets users create videos from scratch or remix videos from their feed. The platform allows users to add visuals, layer music, and adjust styles. The company shared images and AI-generated video clips on its blog, giving a glimpse of the feature.

Users can share their AI-generated videos directly to the Vibes feed, direct message them to friends, or cross-post them to Instagram and Facebook Stories or Reels. If a user sees a Meta AI video on Instagram, they can tap on it and remix it in the Meta AI app.

Meta said, "We're working on even more powerful creation tools and models, and we're collaborating with many talented visual artists and creators." The company says these features will roll out to more users in the future.

Meta says the app will remain its main hub showcasing its AI initiatives, including smartglasses and integration with the Meta AI assistant.
