UPI has made digital payments easy but sometimes money gets transferred from a user to a wrong UPI ID. In such a case, a complaint should be lodged with the payment service provider or bank as soon as possible. It is the customer's responsibility to fill in the correct information as per RBI guidelines.
What is wrong UPI transaction?
Wrong UPI transactions usually happen when users transfer money to the wrong UPI ID, mobile number or bank account by mistake or due to some technical issue. Many times users enter wrong UPI details or wrong contact number. Along with this, it has been seen in some cases that even after becoming a victim of fraud, users make wrong payments.
