Metamorphosis

How meaningful can an image of a woman in fur be when you attempt to cherish it as the sole reminder of human existence? When Gregor Samsa awakens in his bed, he is horrified to discover that he has been transformed into a colossal insect. He is now destined to spend the remainder of his life in this condition. For him, existence becomes a battle to reconcile his remaining humanity with his altered physical form. Thus commences Metamorphosis. Exploring the absurdity of life, the disconnection between mind and body, and the boundaries of empathy, this book is regarded as one of the foundational texts of twentieth-century literature.
