Scientists at two Russian institutes have created a standard sample of human DNA that is ahead of the characteristics of its American counterpart and helps improve the accuracy of cancer diagnoses.

This was reported by the press service of the Russian corporation "Rossstandart".

“In order to determine the metrological characteristics of the sequencers, I have so far used architectural samples made from imported raw materials,” said Anton Shlaev, an official of the Russian corporation “Rosstandart”. “And we had the opportunity to start manufacturing products that are completely independent of imports, which may not fully satisfy the needs of Not only Russian metrologists and doctors, but we will offer this type of product for use in high-precision industrial and production processes.”

The Russian architectural sample ruGIAB is an advanced analogue of the so-called genome in a bottle (GIAB), which was developed by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology, and can be used not on
