Earlier, Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad announced in a press conference after the conclusion of the meeting of the Central Sawal Crescent Committee held in Islamabad that the Shawwal moon was not sighted in Pakistan on Thursday.  No moon sighting was received from any part of the country, so Eid -ul-Fitr will take place on Saturday, April 22.   Earlier, the country's 5 zonal Sighting Crescent Committees also confirmed that the Shawwal moon was not sighted. The zonal sighting of the crescent committees of Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta confirmed that no sighting of the moon was received.  On the other hand , Eid al-Fitr moon was sighted in Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates . Ramadan has ended after 29 days in Saudi Arabia and UAE . According to the message issued by the Twitter account of Haramain Sharifin, the sighting of the Shawwal moon was confirmed in the Tamer region of Saudi Arabia, while according to Khaleej Times, the moon was also seen in the United Arab Emirates .  Thus , Eid- ul-Fitr will be celebrated tomorrow, Friday, April 21, in both Saudi Arabia and the UAE . Saudi Arabia is the first country in the world where the Shawwal moon was sighted, while the Shawwal moon was also seen in the United Arab Emirates after that. Earlier, 7 countries, including 3 Islamic countries, officially announced the final date of Eid -ul-Fitr. Muslims living in Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, Japan and Thailand will celebrate Eid on Saturday, April 22.
