"There are 50, containers of pulses containing , tonnes of pulses. Out of these, only , containers were released and according to the cost of each container, if the containers are not lifted on time, then daily service charges are also to be paid.   After this, Federal Minister for Port and Shipping Faisal Sabzwari had said that due to non-opening of LCs at Karachi Port and Qasim Port, daily government fines of stranded containers have been waived.  According to the information, these containers stopped in November last year, after which there are thousands of containers at Karachi port so far.  These include medicines, machinery, vehicles, equipment, food items, including onions, ginger, etc., as well as imported clothing items.  Officials said that these containers also contain containers of imported equipment of the Pakistan Army, which could not be released due to lack of letter of credit.
