An Arab human rights committee said on Saturday that Israel committed 63 violations of media freedoms in the occupied Palestinian territories last September.  And the "Journalists' Support Committee" (based in Beirut), added in its monthly report, that these violations come as "an attempt to obliterate Israeli crimes and terrorism against the Palestinians."  The committee stated that the Israeli army and settlers targeted "10 journalists while covering the demolition of Jerusalemites' homes and activities in the West Bank, by beating, kicking, dragging and using rubber bullets and poison gas bombs."  And she added, "The occupation forces and settlers prevented more than 13 journalists from covering and carrying out their duties, and two cases of storming, raiding, searching and tampering with the contents of journalists' homes were monitored."  The committee indicated that the Israeli army threatened "about 3 journalists with death and arrest and accused them of incitement, in addition to documenting two cases of destroying journalists' cameras and cars, and recording 5 cases of confiscation of Palestinian equipment, cards and identity."  The committee documented, according to the report, "the arrest and detention of 9 journalists, the recording of the deportation of two journalists from Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the documentation of a case of house confinement."  The committee stated that "the occupation court issued a ruling to arrest the sick journalist, Dina Jaradat, who was sentenced to 4 months in prison."  And she added: "The report recorded 7 cases of delaying trials and extending the period of detention and administrative detention of journalists."  In the same context, the committee said that it "observed 6 cases of harassment of imprisoned journalists inside Israeli prisons, and two cases of forcing them to pay a fine after the verdict was issued."  According to the committee, Israel is detaining "21 Palestinian journalists, media workers and activists" in its prisons.  On the other hand, the committee documented the closure of "administrations of social networking sites in conspiracy with the occupation, more than 11 pages of journalists and media professionals, under the pretext of violating the instructions of publication."  Earlier, the Palestinian Ministry of Information announced that it had monitored 50 Israeli violations against female journalists during the first half of 2022.  She noted that among the attacks were two assassinations, 15 beatings, 15 denial of coverage, and two rubber bullet wounds.  The ministry stated that the attacks affected 33 journalists, while Jerusalem topped the rest of the Palestinian cities in terms of the number of violations, with 31 violations. And the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced in a brief statement: "Fayez Khaled Damdom (18 years) died of critical wounds after being shot in the neck by Israeli soldiers, in the town of Al-Eizariya in Jerusalem."  Activists published videos of a young man covered in blood, without providing additional information about the circumstances of his targeting.   For its part, the Hebrew "Kan" channel quoted an unnamed "security official" as saying that a Palestinian youth tried to throw a Molotov cocktail at the Israeli forces, and they shot him.  And on Thursday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said that a child “martyred, after falling from a height while being pursued by the Israeli occupation army,” in the south of the West Bank.  The ministry said in a statement that the 7-year-old child, Rayan Suleiman, from the town of Tekoa, south of Bethlehem, died in Beit Jala Governmental Hospital.  She added, "All attempts to revive the child's heart after he fell from a height, while he was being chased by the occupation forces in the town of Tekoa, were unsuccessful."
