The 100 best players in the history of football

The British magazine "four four two" has released a list of the 100 best players who have made the greatest impact in the history of football during a particular era.

Argentine star Lionel Messi topped the list, ahead of his compatriot Diego Maradona, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pele, Zinedine Zidane and Johan Cruyff.

Ranking the players on the star-studded roster is based on the influence they have had in their era, so none of the players have emerged only in recent years.

The new generations may not know most of the players of the list who starred in the past decades ago, and were able to leave an imprint that has not been forgotten until now.
