In the presence of Erdogan and the Emir of Qatar Turkey and Qatar strengthen their relationship with 11 agreements

In a ceremony attended by President Erdogan and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim, 11 cooperation agreements in various fields were signed between Turkey and Qatar within the eighth meeting of the Higher Strategic Committee between the two countries.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani chaired the eighth meeting of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the two countries.

Ministers from both countries participated in the closed meeting, which was held at the Dolmabahce Presidential Palace in Istanbul.

Following the meeting, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani signed the joint statement of the committee's eighth meeting.

On Friday, Turkey and Qatar signed 11 cooperation agreements to strengthen their strategic relationship in various fields.

The agreements included a cooperation protocol in the field of media and communications, and another cooperation protocol between the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation and Qatar Television.

The two countries also signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of high-quality infrastructure between the Turkish Halal Accreditation Agency and the Qatari Ministry of Public Health, and a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of industrial property rights protection.

an agreement for the mutual integration of satellite network service areas (the use of satellite technology in the field of voice, video, Internet, fax, television and radio) regulated by Annex 30B of the Radio Regulations, and memoranda of understanding in the field of food security, disaster management, emergency and humanitarian assistance, and the field of construction.

In addition to an agreement on the establishment and operation of cultural centers and their activities, a cooperation protocol between the Turkish Cultural Center Yunus Emre and the Qatar Museums Authority, and a memorandum of understanding in the field of diplomatic archives.

The Foreign Ministers of the two countries, Mevlut Cavusoglu and Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, also signed the joint statement of the eighth session of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the two countries.

The Joint Higher Strategic Committee between the two countries was established in December 2014, and its meetings are held every year at the highest level. It is a mechanism for consultation on Qatari-Turkish relations, and represents one of the most important indicators of the intense and strong bilateral relations.

This summit is the 31st between President Erdogan and Prince Tamim since 2014, which is a record number in the history of relations between the two countries, and perhaps in the history of international diplomacy.
