Find out where the teams participating in the 2022 World Cup will be located

The 32 teams participating in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be able to live in camps that are the closest to each other since the inaugural edition of the tournament in 1930.

Each team will reside in the same facility throughout the competition, as there is no need to transport missions on domestic flights, and this edition of the tournament will also feature the ability of teams to use official training sites the day before their matches.

The process of selecting the camps for the participating teams started in October 2019, by organizing 162 inspection visits to select the headquarters of the teams participating in the World Cup qualifiers, until it was settled on these camps that meet all the needs of the participating teams.

The national team camp is the headquarters of the participating team while they are at the World Cup, a term that combines a training venue with a hotel, or other form of accommodation.

Different locations

The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, the organizer of the tournament, provided in Qatar 3 types of training sites used during the tournament, namely: local sports club facilities, group training centers, and training places in stadiums. Many of them have been built from scratch, and some have been renovated, and will be an integral part of the football legacy after the World Cup.

The teams’ camps consist of 4-star and 5-star hotels, villas, resorts and non-hotel accommodations, such as sports academies buildings, school dormitories and university residences, in addition to other facilities such as treatment rooms, all of which were distinguished by their ability to protect the teams’ privacy and were provided with all necessary safety protocols.

The following are the venues for the residence and training of the participating teams in the 2022 World Cup:

The first group

Qatar National Team: Al Azizia Hotel in Aspire Zone, training at Stadium No. 3 in Aspire Zone.

 Ecuador national team: Hyatt Regency Oryx Hotel, and its training at Mesaimeer Club Stadium.

 Senegal national team: Al Duhail Gymnasium Hotel, and training at Al Duhail Stadium No. 2.

 Netherlands national team: The St. Regis Doha, and its training in Qatar University Stadium No. 6.

The second group:

England: Al Wakrah Souq Tivoli Hotel, and training at Al Wakrah Stadium.

 Iran: Al Rayyan Hotel in Doha, and training at Al Rayyan Stadiums.

 United States: Marsa Malaz Kempinski The Pearl, and training at Al Gharafa Stadium.

 Wales: Delta Hotel City Center, and training at Al Sadd Club's new training grounds.

Third group:

Argentina: Qatar University, training at Qatar University Training Ground No. 3.

 Saudi Arabia: Sealine Beach, a popular resort, and training on the Sealine Training Grounds.

 Mexico: Murwab Simaisma Resort, north of Doha, and training at Al Khor Stadium.

 Poland: Ezdan Palace Hotel, and training at Al-Kharaitiyat Club Stadium.

Fourth group:

France: Al Messila Resort Doha, and Al Sadd Club training.

 Australia: The new athletes' residences at Aspire Academy, and training at Stadium 5 in Aspire Zone.

 Denmark: Retaj Salwa Resort, and training at Al Sailiya Stadium.

 Tunisia: Wyndham Grand Doha West Bay, and training at Al-Uqla Stadium in Lusail.

Fifth group:

Spain: Qatar University, training in Stadium No. 1 at Qatar University.

 Costa Rica: Dusit D2 Salwa, training at Al-Ahly Club Stadium.

Germany: Zulal Al Ruwais Resort, and training at Al Shamal Club Stadium.

 Japan: Radisson Blu confirmed, training at Al Sadd Stadium No. 1

Sixth group:

Belgium: Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas, and training at Salwa Training Grounds.

Canada: Century Premier Lusail Hotel, training at Umm Salal Stadium.

Morocco: Wyndham Doha West Bay, training at Al Duhail Stadium.

CROATIA: Hilton Doha Hotel, training at Al Ersal Complex for Training Grounds No. 3.

Seventh group:

Brazil: The Westin Doha Hotel, and training at Al Arabi Stadium.

 Serbia: Rixos Gulf Hotel, and training at the Al Arabi Club training grounds.

Switzerland: L'Oréal Meridien, rehearsals at Doha University's training ground

Cameroon: Banyan Tree at La Cigale Msheireb, and training at Al Sailiya Stadium.

Eighth group:

Portugal: The Samaritan Hotel from the Autograph Group, and training at the Al Shahaniya training grounds.

 Ghana: DoubleTree, Hilton Doha, and training at Aspire Zone 1 training ground.

 Uruguay: Pullman Doha, Arabian Gulf, and exercises at the Ersal Complex for Training Fields No. 1.

 South Korea: Le Meridien City Center Doha, and training at the No. 5 pull-up pitches.
