Kadyrov acknowledged the killing of two soldiers and the wounding of six other Chechen forces while fighting alongside Russian forces in Ukraine, according to CNN.
Chechnya's President Ramzan Kadyrov announced on Tuesday the killing of two soldiers of his country's forces that are fighting with their Russian counterparts in Ukraine.
Kadyrov said: "Unfortunately, already among the indigenous population in the Chechen Republic losses. Two were killed and six others were injured to varying degrees," according to CNN America.
To this day, Moscow has not published detailed statistics on the killing or wounding of its soldiers in Ukraine, despite the extensive documentation published by the international media on Russian losses.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin was fully informed of the situation in Ukraine, but Peskov did not disclose the number of casualties "because he did not have specific information," as he put it.
On the other hand, the Ukrainian Chief of Staff said that Russia lost about 5,710 of its soldiers during its military operation, which it started at dawn last Thursday against Ukraine.
The General Staff said in a statement on Tuesday that the Ukrainian army had killed 5,710 Russian soldiers and captured 200 others.
The statement added that the Ukrainian army has destroyed 29 Russian fighters, 29 helicopters, 198 tanks, 846 armored vehicles, 77 artillery and two ships since the start of the Russian military operation on Ukraine.
At dawn on Thursday, Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine, which was followed by angry reactions from several countries, and the imposition of "tough" economic and financial sanctions on Moscow.
In the wake of the war, the UAE forces Ukrainians to obtain a visa to enter its territory
The Ukrainian embassy in the UAE announced on Tuesday that the Gulf state decided to impose an entry visa on Ukrainian citizens wishing to travel to it.
This came in a statement published by the embassy on its official Facebook page, in which it said that the decision will enter into force as of today, Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
I attached to the publication a link that includes the methods of obtaining tourist visas for those wishing to enter the UAE.
This decision comes in light of the recent Emirati-Russian rapprochement, which prompted the UAE to abstain from voting on a resolution in the UN Security Council last Thursday condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The UAE explained its decision at the time as stemming from its desire not to support any party to the conflict, calling for diplomatic solutions.
And on Monday, the Security Council, with Emirati support, issued a resolution extending the ban on the delivery of weapons to Yemen, to include all Houthis allied with Iran, after it was limited to specific individuals and companies.
Diplomats considered Russia's vote in favor of the resolution "the fruit of an agreement" with the UAE, in exchange for the latter's abstention from voting against Moscow after the attack on Ukraine.
