“Even by divorce or selling the Torah” Fatwas to bring millions of Jews to Israel

The media, analysts, and experts in the field delve into every problem on our agenda, from the nuclear threat and the threats of Iran, including its proxies in neighboring countries, to the legal deal presented to Netanyahu, to the tension on the Russia-Ukraine border. With all the importance of these problems, the pressing problem of demography in Israel is not on the agenda.

In order to maintain a Jewish majority, most efforts should be invested in encouraging the emigration of Jews from the Diaspora. The obligation to emigrate to the land of Israel, according to the fatwa of the North African sages, is superior to all obligations, including the desecration of the Sabbath. to emigrate to the country of the fathers. The fatwas are unanimously agreed that the husband who wants to immigrate to Israel while his wife refuses, should pay her back, divorce her and emigrate. And not only the man, but also the woman who wants to emigrate and her husband refuses, she divorces her husband, takes her children with her and emigrates to the country. Another fatwa is significant: A man who does not have the means to finance his travels to the land of Israel is allowed to sell a book of the Torah that he owns for this.

Indeed, what is the treatment of the danger of demography. The State of Israel must set its sights on bringing in two million Jews in the next five years. We must allocate resources and enlist the best forces and minds in our midst to bring in a million and a half Jews from the United States, whether from the general population of this country or among the Israelis who have emigrated from Israel. In the United States, as in Europe, anti-Semitism has been on the rise in recent years, and morning and evening we hear about hate crimes committed against Jews on an anti-Semitic background. Accordingly, we must bring from the countries of Europe and South America another half a million Jews.

The Knesset of Israel must urgently investigate this issue. It is the duty of members of the coalition and the opposition to mobilize. And the President of the State, Isaac Herzog, who enjoys great prestige in Israel, in the Diaspora and among world leaders, and who has specialized in this matter as the head of the administration of the Jewish Agency in recent years as well, should enlist for this rescue campaign in the United States, while in front of his eyes the desire is In working to reconcile the various Jewish currents in the United States and also promoting the immigration of Jews from all the countries of the Diaspora, as we mentioned above, in order to escape the danger of demography that beset us. The State of Israel must ring all alarm bells so that the Jews return to their borders.
