Tiger : Lebanese sweets
Ingredients-
3 cups of semolina, 1 cup of ghee,3 tablespoons of butter,Half a cup of fine sugar, A cup of soft coconut, A cup of yogurt,A teaspoon of baking powder
Half a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda,2 tablespoons of rose water Two tablespoons of blossom water,A quarter of a teaspoon of salt,A cup of almonds For the Dripping:, 2 cups of sugar, A cup of water, A spoon A tablespoon of rose water, A tablespoon of blossom water, A teaspoon of lemon juice
How to prepare the
Syrup: In a saucepan on the fire, heat the sugar with water, blossom water, rose water and lemon juice. Leave the mixture on a low heat for 10 minutes.
In a saucepan, heat the ghee and butter over a low heat until the ghee melts.
Mix the semolina with the ghee and butter mixture, knead until the ingredients are homogeneous, then leave the mixture for 25 minutes.
Add sugar, coconut, yogurt, baking powder, baking soda, salt, rose water and blossom water, then knead the ingredients again until the mixture becomes homogeneous.
Grease an oven dish with a layer of butter, then pour the Namoura mixture and smooth the surface. Cut the sweets with a knife into equal squares and distribute the almond halves on each square.
We put the tigers in the oven for 30 minutes, until they are golden brown.
We take it out of the oven and pour the hot syrup over it while it is hot, then leave it to cool.
