The Turkish police managed to control an improvised explosive device in the southeastern state of Mardin, which was placed under the car of a policeman charged with securing a crowd in which President Erdogan was on Saturday in the state of Siirt.

On Saturday, the Turkish police thwarted a possible terrorist operation in the Nusaybin area of Mardin province, in southeastern Turkey, after realizing the presence of an improvised explosive device, which had been placed under a car belonging to a policeman working in the riot department.

The same policeman was tasked with securing a crowd in the city of Siirt on Saturday where Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan went to inaugurate a series of projects.

When the explosive device was discovered, teams of experts were sent to the car's location to dispose of the explosives, and the teams of specialists were able to defuse it to the fullest.

A reporter for TRT channel stated that, "Thanks to the neutralization of the explosive device, a massacre was prevented and the lives of thousands of innocent citizens were saved at the last moments."
